Montage Hotels and Resorts is opening a new resort with a hotel and residences in Healdsburg, California. The farming village that we have come to associate with Sonoma’s wine country will be the town’s first five-star resort. Set to open December 2020, Montage Healdsburg is situated on 258 acres of rolling hills and vineyards with 130 guestrooms styled as bungalows. The property highlights a true Californian approach to fine dining and wellness. With French-inspired cuisine prepared with seasonal produce, a cocktail program and 11,500-foot spa retreat elevated above the grapevines to maximize the views, this new gem is not something you want to miss.

Opening in May 2021 after some recent pushbacks, Six Senses Shaharut has already received high praise and is being called an absolute must-visit destination in Israel. Positioned in the south of the dramatic Negev Desert, which covers more than half of the country, the hotel’s Arava Valley locale is home to the small community of Shaharut. Now accepting reservations for March 2021, Alila Marea is the second coastal California property for the Alila brand, with the first being the recently redesigned Ventana Big Sur. Located beachfront in Encinitas about 30 miles north of San Diego, Alila Marea will be one of the newest luxury properties in Southern California. This modern, barefoot-luxury setting offers 130 rooms and suites, aiming for a more personalized experience than some of its larger luxury neighbors.
