WHAT INSPIRES YOU MOST ABOUT THIS CITY?

We have such a global background and we feel that London really is a global city. The juxtaposition between West London and East London and the melting pot of cultures and creativity is truly inspiring as a city. We believe that there really is nowhere a city as international or dynamic creatively as London.

HOTTEST HOTELS:

The Town Hall in Bethnal Green is very interesting, It’s a grand old building formerly a Town Hall and inside has one of the world’s best restaurants and is jostled between the art district that is Vyner Street and the city. On any one night you might run into local artists, musicians or famous actors who like to stay there to take in the creative landscape surrounding the area.

FAVORITES PLACES TO SHOP:

We love visiting the studios of artists in whom we are interested and viewing their work directly – it is such an amazing experience to understand their process and to understand a piece before owning it.

FAVORITE CULTURAL INSTITUTION:

Tate Modern and, the Royal Academy – the Manet exhibition.

BEST PRIVATE CLUB:

Not so much a members club more a cultural institution – The restaurant and bar at the Whitechapel Gallery is a dynamic mix of creatives. Being in such a diverse neighborhood, The Whitechapel Gallery feels like the world’s most inclusive and interesting members club and, of course, you can become a member to support the organization.

BEST SEE-AND-BE-SEEN RESTAURANT:

Scott’s in Mayfair is an incredible Mayfair institution. The art, the food and the crowd are amazing and the seafood the best in the world. For a very special night, there is nothing better than sitting under a Gary Hume, Michael Landy or Fiona Rae juxtaposed with furniture pieces by Patrice Butler and Amanda Levete.

FAVORITE PUB:

The Scolt Head, it’s near our studio and we usually go there with our team to celebrate birthdays or to have team drinks.

THREE MUSTS IN A 48 HOUR STAY:

1.Breakfast at Granger & Co. Clerkenwell – A beautiful restaurant overlooking Clerkenwell green.

2. A visit to Golden Square in Soho, fast becoming one of London’s quiet cultural centers, with incredible galleries on the square including Marion Goodman’s only London outpost and The Firth Street Gallery’s new space. There are also excellent cinnamon buns at the neighboring Nordic Bakery.

3.Drinks at the Southbank Centre – the brutalist architecture, the diverse mix of people and the best views of the Thames all combine for a very special London experience.

UBER, TAXI OR TUBE?

Whatever you need to get around London, we use a combination of all.

FAVORITE THING TO DO IN LONDON THAT DOESN’T COST A PENNY (OR SHALL I SAY, A POUND).

The galleries and museums – so many are open for free, both private and public, and the possibly of seeing some of the most beautiful and interesting cultural works in such incredible settings is something very specific to London town.
